Use these thrifty tips to improve, beautify and care for your yard more economically.
A well-kept, beautiful landscape often increases property value and curb appeal. Also planting trees in the right places can reduce your heating and cooling costs. Another advantage; it creates a space for outdoor activities such as Barbecuing, swimming, sporting etc, also gardening , can improve your well being, reducing health implications and costs.
These budget-friendly landscaping tricks will help you avoid unnecessary costs in your landscape.
1. Have a Plan:
Plan out your landscape by preparing a sketch or drawing for how you want your landscaping layout to be. You can do it yourself by investing on landscaping books and researches on what works for your outdoor space. Although this may cost, another way is to hire or contract a local landscaper or a landscaping company to do a proper plan.

2. Use Weed Fabric Strategically for your pavement (interlock or gravels):
Landscape fabric is most useful under gravel or interlocking walkways to keep the material from sinking into the soil. Don’t use the weed barrier fabric in planted areas. Stabilize the soil ,dig down 7 to 10 inches (depending). Compact the sub-soil, which is usually clay. Lay fabric. Then lay gravel, then tamp that gravel.
The subsoil may shift slightly, over the years, sinking and or heaving. You don’t want that–that’s why you dig down and compact the soil–making sure there’s no roots or other organic matter down there, and then compact the gravel.
A good landscape fabric beneath a layer of pebbles or gravel goes a long way in preventing weed seed germination. Even the best landscape fabric won’t stop weeds 100% from growing.
The reasons you should use landscape fabric include:
*Landscape Fabric limits weed growth
*Geotextile fabric stabilizes the soil
*Weed barrier can help retain moisture in the soil
*Landscape Fabric reduces the amount of gravel required
*Fabric acts as a filter under the gravel
*Landscape Fabric is an integral part of garden ponds
*Separation layer prevents aggregate from migrating down into soil

6. Make paths in your garden if space allows:
This looks great and is really simple. There are many materials you can use for paths; gravel, sand, wood chips, stone slabs, or pieces of broken tile. Cement is also fun to play around with. Gravels or soil scattering can be fixed by using Resin style path on budget using super glue to hold them together.
